Groupon, are the deals really a deal? One of the most exciting parts of the internet over the past 10 years has been the development of online offers from companies such as Groupon, LivingSocial and the other 10 majors out there. This has been a great way for us to be able to try out products, be able to get things at it Far Superior prices if you will. The problem not all deals are equal and the next problem is not all deals are taken down meaning you may end up buying one of the deals online but you got to make sure you actually use it. What we have found is a huge volume, a huge percentage of the deals, that are purchased are never taken up. I have family members that I’ve bought portraits for, dental cleanings, massage therapists. I have a daughter-in-law that I got a massage session. You know pre-annealer for the pregnancy massage and that was four years ago and she hasn’t used it. This happens, not just to me, but to most of the consumers out there. So make sure when you do take up these deals that you actually intend on using them. If not, you could lose the deal altogether. Some companies like Groupon have some type of credit that they’ll add to your account if you don’t.
